Good Saturday Above Ground

Today was such a terrific day. I had decided that I was not going to do anything around the house and that my mission for today would be to jump in the shower and go out to enjoy the day(even if it killed me..lol).
I went to grab Harleen to drag along on my little adventure. Harleen is 28, beautiful and she gets me. Her and my boys have been friends since high school and she's an old soul who loves new experiences. We are a match made in heaven as far as I'm concerned. I would hate to ask her if she feels the same way...lol....she might disagree. Our first stop was lunch at Tyler's Tap house in Carrboro. It's a 'hole in the wall' sports bar that has a vintage feel that I love. Mike met us there for lunch.
We ended up ordering their Fried Green Tomato Pimento Cheese with Bacon sandwich and their garlic fries. It was to die for.
Brazil ended up winning knocking Chile out of the games altogether....BOOOOOOO!
On the way to our next stop, we saw the craziest cutest sight....check it out!!!!
Our next destination was Southern Seasons; a terrific gourmet store in Chapel Hill. I could literally stay in the there for hours...and nearly did....lol. They have aisles and aisles of all these off the wall products that no one in their right mind would ever dream of , Some are appealing...some not so much.
On the way out, we had to admire all the beauties that they had at the exit.
Our final stop was Guglhupf... the German bakery here in Durham. Harleen had never been and I was itching for my usual...their decadent cream puffs.
We had picked up a crazy treat from our previous stop and decided we would sample it with our cream puffs....Buffalo Wing Soda......YUCK!!!!
That was my awesome Saturday. As you can see, it does not take much to make this chick happy....lol. Hope your day was a good one. Next up: Photography

Love Me Some Them

I have been blessed beyond measure to have a loving supportive family to go through this life with. I have 2 grown sons, Micheal(31) and Brandon(29) who are smart, respectful, passionate, contributing members of society. As I am sure is true with all of you, I could not be prouder of these two.
As if it wasn't enough, I have, also, been blessed with a 10 year old sweet grandboy, Jaylen...... technically he is 10 going on 15. He's a kind little boy in 4th grade with a smile that can light up a room. He has such an abundance of love in his life that it makes me sad for some children that might not be as fortunate. He lights up our world and helps me remember how it is to be a little kid in a big world.
How lucky can a girl get? I would love to tell you what my next posting subject will be but really not sure at this point. I have so many interests and it pretty much changes everyday for me so we shall see......could be some tips on saving $$$$, my current obsession with reviewing products or my love of photography. Check back soon. Later Gator!!!!
